There's another button, which allows you to swap the start and the finish boxes. If I wanted to be slower, I could either make the move a little more gentle or I could extend the duration of the clip next to the play button. OK, it's going to start the beginning finished then. And then if I go ahead and I hit the little play button, which is up here, I can see the animation, which is pretty quick because the animation is determined by the length of the clip. And then I'm going to take the red box and I'm gonna put that will where I want the image at the end of the move. Okay, so what I want to do is I want to draw a box around where I want the image to start when we come to it. One green, one red green is go read a stop. Should you buy the 14-inch MacBook Pro or 15-inch MacBook Air? You don’t have to consider battery life in this race, as Apple states that both are capable of 18-hours of use from a single charge, which should get you through even the busiest of working days. Otherwise, the M2 will be more than sufficient for a few years to come. But if those are your main intended uses for your MacBook then we think the extra power in the Pro chips would be the better solution. I appreciate any advice you may have. The standard M2 is a very capable chip, which can handle most things you’ll throw at it, including photo and video-editing. It only happens about once out of 4 or 5 dozen clicks, but that works out to dozens of times each day and I find it very disruptive. I'd also be interested in learning the action which causes this to happen so I can stop doing it. I very, very, VERY much want to turn this feature off but I don't know what it is called and therefore unable to find it in the system preferences. This just happened to me when working with excel and inDesign where the excel window jumped to the new location as I tried to select a cell. The piece of menu bar I had clicked on to bring the window forward, had become sticky to the cursor and transported that spot to my next click location. I click on the visible menu bar, which brings the window to the foreground, I then move my cursor to the part of the page I want to work then click – rather than placing the cursor in that location, the entire window moves. When I have multiple windows open (sometimes all the same program, sometimes a mix of programs) and I want to use a window in the background for which I can only see the very top of it's menu bar showing from behind the foreground windows. I've never been able to determine how to make this happen, it only happens by accident. I'm experiencing a problem I can not understand where windows stick to the cursor and move when I don't want them to move. I'm also updating to a 2021 M1 MacBook Pro from a 2009 MacBook Pro. Window sticks to cursor problem I'm new to Monterey having updated from 10.11 and skipping several version between. You might argue that Apple should include this functionality as part of MacOS - even Windows has done this for quite a while! Then again, it's nice to see them not killing off small vendors like the HyperDock team, so. Hurray for HyperDock!! But, really, this should be emblazoned all over their website because they are selling this app but don't seem to be responding to e-mails or posting anything useful, and this is an app that many (including myself) rely on massively, if only to manage their zillions of browser windows!! :) Give it a couple of seconds, then hover over an app that has multiple windows, and rejoice as you see the previews once again. Go back to the Security & Privacy -> Accessibility pane againĬlick the lock and enter your password againĬlick the box by HyperDock so it's ticked You should get a popup saying that HyperDock wants to control your computer - click Allow Go to the Security & Privacy pane and click Accessibility in the left hand list if it isn't already selectedĬlick the padlock to allow changes - enter password when promptedĬlick HyperDock in the right hand list, then click the "-" below the list to remove HyperDock from the listĬlick the home button (the on with the 12 dots in it) Make sure you have the latest version of HyperDock (1.8) Here is the one that seems to have success for everyone: I've seen many many threads on this all over them interwebs! Many of the fixes seem to be hit & miss, working for some but not for others. So that has mobilized a lot of young people and people of all ages. “There was a fear would merely chip away at Roe, but this draft opinion shows that there’s an intention to eliminate it. “For younger women, I think there was this feeling that this could never happen,” Levy said. It sent delegates to Lansing in January 2022 to testify in support of the summary wording of the initiative. Levy, 69, of Farmington Hills, said NCJW delegates have been instrumental in the formation and mobilization of the initiative, which was crafted by Reproductive Freedom, Planned Parenthood Advocates of Michigan and the American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan. Many of these decisions on abortion affect families, and they are often made in conjunction with a family setting.” “This is an issue that touches each of these points. “At NJCW, our mission is to improve the lives of women, children and families,” said Linda Levy, NCJW of Greater Detroit co-state policy advocate. The National Council of Jewish Women in Michigan has been actively involved in getting the initiative on the ballot since it was drafted in early 2022. “Also, this country has a separation of church and state, so this is a matter of religious freedom.” “Defending the right of a woman to choose is a Jewish value and a moral value,” Lopatin said. “We will become active in a supportive role for the Black community through our social justice committee.”Īs an Orthodox rabbi, Lopatin cautioned his community should be wary of anti-abortion laws. “Many women in this community do not have the resources to travel out of state to get an abortion,” Lopatin explained. He especially emphasized the organization’s partnership with the Coalition for Black and Jewish Unity, as the elimination of abortion rights will fall most heavily on communities of color. He said his organization is playing a supportive role to Jewish organizations such as Hadassah and the National Council of Jewish Women. Rabbi Asher Lopatin, executive director of Detroit’s Jewish Community Relations Council/AJC, said that defending a woman’s right to choose is a strong Jewish value. Michigan’s Jews are raising money and volunteering for organizations that work to protect reproductive freedom. Because the initiative would amend Article I of the Michigan Constitution, its backers would need to collect 425,059 valid signatures by this summer from Michigan voters to place the measure on the ballot. In addition to safeguarding the legality of attaining and performing abortions in Michigan, the proposed initiative, if it makes it to the November ballot and passes in the election, would include protections for use of birth control, safe birthing care, and medical procedures associated with miscarriages and stillbirths. The possibility of living in such draconian conditions is energizing many in the state’s Jewish community to attempt to secure women’s reproductive rights in Michigan by working to add an amendment to the state Constitution through the Reproductive Freedom for All ballot initiative. “Doctors simply are not going to perform those procedures anymore because they don’t want to go to prison for it.” “What’s going to happen is doctors will be so afraid of being investigated for performing these procedures, even when there is no longer any viability because it’s the same procedure that you might perform for an abortion … It will have a chilling effect, and women will not have basic medical health care,” Nessel said. Nessel also said that as a worst-case scenario, even performing a dilation and curettage (D&C) for a woman experiencing a miscarriage or if a fetus dies in utero could be considered criminally liable for physicians. Dana NesselĪlthough Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel, in a May 8 appearance on NBC’s Meet the Press, said if she remains in office, she will not prosecute any cases that would come up as a result of this law, she said she could not prevent the state’s 83 elected county prosecutors from doing so. This law states that any doctor performing an abortion could be prosecuted, even in cases of rape or incest. Supreme Court draft decision was leaked earlier this month, forecasting its intentions to overturn Roe v Wade, Michigan women are concerned a 1931 law on the Michigan books would immediately go into effect, essentially illegalizing abortion in the state, reversing a 50-year precedent of women’s rights for 2.2 million women of childbearing age in the state. The logo of the ballot initiative effort Michigan’s Jews are raising money and volunteering for organizations that work to protect reproductive freedom. Raisin bran is also a particularly good source of iron, a critical nutrient for preventing iron deficiency anemia ( 11). Fortified cereals are an easy and effective way to increase micronutrient intake ( 8, 9).įurthermore, cereals fortified with folic acid, which is the synthetic form of the B vitamin folate, have helped reduce the incidence of neural tube defects in the United States ( 10). This is beneficial because many people in the United States don’t consume enough iron, calcium, or vitamins A, C, D, and E in their diet. Many of these micronutrients are added through fortification, a process in which vitamins and minerals that aren’t naturally present in a food item are added to the final product to make it more nutritious. Good source of micronutrientsĪ 1-cup (60-gram) serving of raisin bran is a good source of a wide variety of essential vitamins and minerals ( 1, 2, 3). Feelings of fullness can also help prevent overeating, which is a benefit if you’re looking to lose weight or prevent unwanted weight gain ( 6).Īdequate fiber intake may also help reduce your risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and other chronic conditions ( 7). It promotes bowel regularity and has protective effects against colon cancer ( 5).įiber helps you feel full for longer and may prevent dramatic drops in blood sugar between meals. Getting enough fiber is important for digestive health. However, surveys have found that most people in the United States only get around half of that amount in a typical day ( 4).Ī single serving of raisin bran cereal can meet approximately one-sixth of those needs, which primarily comes from the wheat and bran ingredients. The minimum recommended daily fiber intake for most people is around 30 grams. SUMMARYĭifferent brands of raisin bran have similar macronutrient profiles but can vary substantially in their added vitamin and mineral contents.Īlthough there’s not much research on the health benefits of eating raisin bran cereal specifically, studies have shown that certain nutrients in the cereal may have benefits. However, the added vitamin and mineral content can vary substantially, especially when it comes to calcium, iron, folate, and zinc. As you can see, the macronutrient - protein, fat, carbs - compositions and calorie contents of various brands of raisin bran are similar. The free version of Dashlane will be sufficient for some, but you will likely begin butting up against the limitations pretty quickly. There are apps for just about every platform, so you'll never be without your passwords. The service features a beautifully designed application with an easy-to-navigate interface so you can find the passwords you need whenever prompted. While 1Password is a favorite around here, Dashlane comes in a close second.
